| The annual meeting was held on 16th November in Rusland Reading Room. Reports were given and audited accounts presented and adopted. The offices returned were - President Jennifer Stoker; Secretary Ann Lewis; Treasurer Carol Driver, and all other jobs were allocated. Final arrangements were made for the Carol Evening to be held in Satterthwaite Church on Tuesday 14th December, followed by refreshments in the Parish Room. There will be a raffle and a collection, and all proceeds will be donated to the Duddon and Furness Mountain Rescue Team. The first meeting of the New Year will be held in Satterthwaite Parish Room on Tuesday 18th January when the speaker will be Ron Mein, who will tell us about pack horse trails. We look forward to seeing you on both these occasions. |

| RUSLAND RAMBLE |
| Rusland and District WI have recently been successful in winning the county round of a nationwide competition entitled 'One Step Further', to produce a leaflet detailing a favourite walk. The leaflet 'Rusland Ramble' is now on sale from members and at various local venues at just £1. See here for more details |
